InsightCarrier ("we," "us," "our"), operator of InsightCarrier, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account and billing information: When you subscribe or request a free sample, we collect your name, email address, and billing details. Payment card data is processed directly by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
Usage data: We log pages visited, searches performed, and downloads to operate and improve the Service.
Carrier data: The motor carrier information in our directory (names, addresses, phone numbers, safety records) comes from public FMCSA filings. This is public regulatory data, not private personal information we collected from individuals.
We use your information to: provide the Service; process payments and prevent fraud; send transactional emails (receipts, renewal reminders); send marketing emails about new features and lead data (you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any marketing email); enforce our one-free-sample-per-email limit; and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
We share data only with providers necessary to operate the Service:
We do not share your email or personal details with other subscribers or third parties for their marketing.
We use minimal cookies for session management and site functionality. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) or advertising pixels in the future, we will update this policy at that time.
If you are a motor carrier or owner-operator listed in our directory and wish to correct your information or request suppression of your listing from public display, email support@insightcarrier.com with your USDOT number. We will process verified requests within 30 days. Note that we republish public FMCSA data daily; suppressed listings will be excluded from future refreshes but underlying FMCSA records remain public.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. We retain account records for as long as your account is active and as required by law (e.g., tax records). Free sample email addresses are retained for up to 24 months for marketing purposes unless you unsubscribe earlier.
If InsightCarrier is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any material change in how your data is handled.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@insightcarrier.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that deletion of account data does not remove public FMCSA carrier records from our directory (see Section 5 for carrier opt-out).
The Service is intended for business users 18 and older, not for children.
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a revised date.
